Ty discovered the world of Photography at 12 years old, when he was living in Cambridge, MA. He attended the local art center, developing and refining his skill by directing the lens at the city's skyline and its diverse residents. Ty's local art turned international during a 14 year career in the travel industry. His travels to more than 25 countries on six continents allowed him to gain a broad perspective on how he looks at life and his subjects. Ty gained national attention when he was published in American Photo in 2006. He was also commissioned to photograph events for the Boston Women's Fund and the Lewis Family Foundation. While Ty has partnered with a local Dog Daycare to photograph more than 100 dogs, he will next focus on his studio photography with a strong emphasis towards children. Sintaxera is Ty's personal blog where he will be showing some of his artwork, photos, cool things he finds on the interweb, a rant or rave here and there and all of the other things that make up my life. He has been a graphic designer for the last 10 years, but has been drawing & painting since birth. Ty lives in RI with his wife & 2 kids, and he works as Senior Interactive Designer for Inflexxion. When Ty's not designing or painting, He enjoys camping, hiking, tattoos, snowboarding, skating (back when he had working knees & shoulders), hardcore, motorcycles, typography, XBOX & amateur octopus wrestling.
